The programme is especially designed for students with an interest in finance but not a strong financial background. The course combines theory and practice.

Comentarios:

This course will introduce participants to the basic concepts of accounting and finance needed by all professionals in today’s business world. As a result participants will be better able to assess the organisation’s financial position and help deploy financial strategies to support the organisation. They will learn about financial statements, financial reporting and analysis and the course will conclude with group presentations analyzing the published financial statements of a public company. The focus will also be on valuing and evaluating companies’ investment options, capital budgeting and capital structure as well as the relationship between risk and return which is one of the most important concepts in finance. This will involve an understanding of the time value of money, the quantification of risk and the vitally important cost of capital.

Temario:

The aim of this course is to give students the tools to make sound financial decisions, along with experience in applying these tools.
