Methodology
The Programme has a moduled structure which follows the logical development plan of a drug from its discovery to launch in the market, allowing participants to consolidate an extensive knowledge of a BioPharmaceutical Company organisation and the business environment in which it operates. Additionally there will be detailed discussion of the internal and external factors affecting the sector at this moment of unprecedented changes in the Pharmaceutical Industry. This highly dynamic situation requires a new vision and mentality on the part of its executives, perhaps leading to a new business model, and this area of debate is a further objective of the Programme.
During the Programme, participants will work in groups and will have to create, develop and present a Clinical Development Plan, a Strategic Registration and Pricing Plan and a Product Marketing Plan culminating in the preparation of a Strategic Business Plan, where they will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the Programme.
Participants will be given specifically designed materials and handouts including articles related to the BioPharmaceutical Industry, case studies and audiovisual and interactive material. In addition, all participants will have access to and be encouraged to use the full range of academic support facilities including The British Council DVD, video & book lending libraries, The British Council Information Centre and the EPHOS IT and Internet facilities.
